The Management System
The Network Records Manager (NRM) is a companion product to the Lifetime Library courseware. Its main role is to create and maintain a database of students and generate reports about students enrolled in the Library.
The NRM is designed for use on a local area network and requires very little maintenance on the part of a network administrator. Teachers and administrators will find it easy to learn, yet powerful enough to accommodate all their needs.
A variety of reports can be generated by the NRM. Some are specific to a particular student, some present information from a selected range of students, and others are aggregate reports on students or lab usage information. For a detailed list of the reports available, go to the other section listed above.
The NRM provides a variety of administrative features. Students can be removed from the database, or temporarily deactivated. Groups of students can be designated for reporting purposes, and passwords can be assigned for controlling student access to the courseware. NRM access to the database can be protected by a password, and back-up features for the database are available.
